“How many miles we at?”, I asked Steve once we rolled into a red apple (gas station). “75”, he replied. After a bit of a pause, I mumbled, “I kind of want to do…a…century.”(100 miles) Steve’s eyes lit up, “Hell yeah!”
This was quite an accomplishment considering how much gear each of us has been lugging around.
The last couple days have been exciting and full of stories. However, I am currently sitting in a McDonald’s in Edenton and don’t have much time to type. Yesterday, we camped. Tonight, we will be sleeping in a convenient store. Tomorrow, we will most likely camp again. Do not fret, once we reach Emerald Isle in a couple of days, we will blog like crazy and I will have time to post that video!
In the meantime, keep it real.
